CLINICAL SOLUTIONS
PRI’s clinical experts work closely with other teams to address issues and influence outcomes in the evolving healthcare landscape. Much of our clinical work is related to program integrity, care management, health equity, and health disparities. Using quality metrics, performance measures, and quality indicators, we provide our clients with thoughtful, timely, effective, and efficient solutions. PRI’s experts also provide clinical oversight for appropriateness of quality care by conducting external and peer reviews. Our Physician Consortium for Clinical Integrity is comprised of over 500 board-certified physicians and allied health providers with evidence-based medicine expertise in various specialties and subspecialties.
Measurable outcomes are an important part of our work in the clinical space. A recent example includes an 11% reduction in 30-day hospital readmissions and an 11.74% reduction in 30-day emergency room readmissions in a national program.
EDUCATION & OUTREACH SOLUTIONS
PRI’s educational and technical experts have integrated healthcare knowledge, making the team uniquely qualified to develop relevant, innovative solutions. These experts facilitate change management through activities such as training, marketing, and education initiatives. While our team has backgrounds in education, marketing, social media, graphic design, multimedia, and project management, we also collaborate with our clinical experts to ensure delivery of the highest-quality products and services.
DATA ANALYTIC SOLUTIONS
PRI subject matter experts (SMEs) and data analysts have direct experience developing data collection tools, analyzing and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data, integrating policy considerations, and providing meaningful and relevant recommendations to federal agencies. Our team conducts analysis using multiple approaches such as stakeholder focus groups, survey development, and clinical review/data abstraction to identify, clarify, and/or validate the impact of change.
The design of our research projects is centered on the type of analysis that is needed to address and answer the research question(s). The research questions and data analysis plan serve as a guide for what and how data is collected, cleaned, and organized for the appropriate analysis to occur. PRI is experienced in various type of analytic models and designs, including the use of Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS). We provide our clients with thoughtful, timely, effective, and efficient solutions for interpreting and implementing new healthcare regulations, quality measures, and program guidance that support advances in healthcare quality and equity.

SYSTEM SOLUTIONS
PRI Review System (PROS)
PROS has been an authorized Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) system for more than 13 years. The recently renewed Authority to Operate (ATO) was granted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) in 2021. The approved CMS Technical Review Board (TRB) architecture for the PROS production environment is characterized as a “multi-zone” architecture with each zone separated by firewalls to support application systems security. The system is homed in a CMS Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) High Availability Data Center, which operates 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, and 365 days per year. A Security Operations Center (SOC) operates 24 hours per day with a multitude of automated security and protection systems, which also includes “eyes-on-glass.”
PROS addresses applicable information security and privacy requirements arising from federal legislation, mandates, directives, executive orders, and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) policy. We accomplish this by integrating Acceptable Risk Safeguards (ARS) with the HHS Information Systems Security and Privacy Policy (IS2P) and specific programmatic legislation and regulations.
Telecommunications System
PRI has a state-of-the-art telecommunications system designed to support customer services centers with interactive voice response, auto dialer capabilities, reporting, monitoring, and recording. The system is scalable for large customer service centers or small centers of only two to three people. The system is an enterprise level system contained within a HIPAA-approved environment to ensure that data is secure.
